Finding the Turtle School Workshops

The workshops take place at Pat and Chuck Potter's house, south of Bancroft, in eastern Ontario province, Canada. Bancroft is approximately halfway between Toronto and Ottawa.

The best way to get to the Potters' house is to drive.

The Potters' house is located 1 kilometre north of "Trudy's Shell Station" on Highway 62. Look for the red POTTER signs at the driveway.

It is approximately one hour north of Belleville, Ontario (where Highway 62 crosses Highway 401),
35 minutes north of Madoc, Ontario (where Highway 62 crosses Highway 7), and
20 minutes south of Bancroft, Ontario (where Highway 62 crosses Highway 28).

Trudy's Shell Station is located where the Steenburg Lake/St Ola road crosses Highway 62, approximately 22 km south of Bancroft. It is south of Highway 620 (the Coe Hill road), south of the Limerick Lake road, and north of the Gilmour/Weslemkoon Lake road..

It is possible to get within one half hour's drive time of the Potters' place on daily buses. Greyhound buses stop in Bancroft (the Toronto to Pembroke route--one bus a day). Greyhound buses also travel along Highway 7, stopping at the roadside restaurant just west of Madoc and Highway 62 (the Ottawa to Peterborough and Toronto route--more frequent service). Trains are available within one hour's drive time of the Potters' place. VIA trains stop in Belleville on Highway 62 (the Toronto to Ottawa and Montréal route). See VIA's online timetable (English and/et Français). This is the closest train service.
